Generally, when an employer ends the employment of an employee who has been
continuously employed for three months, the employer must provide the employee with
either written notice of termination, termination pay or a combination. The written notice or
termination pay is based on how long someone has been employed by an employer.
Employees who have worked for 3 years but less than 4 are entitled to 3 weeks written
notice or payment in lieu or some combination.
Employees are also entitled to vacation pay.
